Glamis Dunes

Directions: Interstate 8 east to El Centro. Take the HWY 111 exit north. To avoid traffic on HWY 111 turn right (east) on S-80 right after you exit I-8. 4. Take S-80 and turn Left (north) on HWY 115. Take HWY 115 to HWY 78 and turn right (east). The 78 will take you into Glamis. The first road you hit will be Gecko Road.
Information: Glamis is parked to the west of Yuma Arizona and to the East of San Diego. Glamis is considered to be an ATV riders paradise. With over 40 miles of sand dunes Glamis is quite a unique and beautiful venue. Glamis is the longest dune system in the United States. Some of the largest dunes rise hundreds of feet above the surrounding desert floor. During the riding season, Glamis has ideal weather for OHV vehicles.
The large riding area, great weather and low cost to use the park make Glamis a dream come true to most riders. There are three popular areas to check out while in Glamis. The first is Mammoth Wash at the north end of the dunes. Second is Glamis/Gecko which is just south of highway 78. Lastly, Buttercup which is located near the Mexican boarder.
Camping in Glamis: There are no facilities in Glamis. A $25.00 fee is assessed per on-road vehicle. The Buttercup valley is a hot spot for the partier types. Make sure to bring everything you will need as there are no stores for miles. GPS Units. Having a hand held GPS unit is recommended as the dunes all look the same after you set out on a ride.
